Add, Update, and Remove Organization Members

Before You Begin

Select Organization

Before you add, update, or remove a member from an organization, you have to select the organization.
  1. Log in to Docubee.
  2. Select the organization to which you are adding/updating/removing a member(s). There are two ways to initiate it:
  3. In the Change your Organization modal click the organization name to make it the active organization.
Your selected organization is active and ready for member management.

Add/Invite Member to Organization

  1. Select the organization to add a member(s). See Select Organization above.
  2. Click the gear icon to open Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Members for the organization’s members section.
  4. In the Invite Member(s) section’s Email(s) to Invite field enter the email address(es) of the person(s) to invite to your organization. Note: You can invite up to 30 members at a time. Note: See Resend Organization Invites for information on resending invitations to members who did not previously accept it.
  5. You may invite multiple people at the same time.
  6. Click the Select a Role field and select a role from the dropdown. Note: All invited members will be assigned the currently selected role. This can be updated later.
  7. Click Send Invitation. Note: The Members list will show the date and time of the last organization invitation.
Invitation emails will be sent to each email address you provided in Docubee. Upon receiving the invitation email, recipients can click the link to set up their account, if they don’t have one, and/or be confirmed as a member of your organization. While waiting for each person to respond, you can view their invitation status in the member section or the dashboard:

Resend Organization Invites

You can resend organization invitations to members who have been invited but not yet accepted.
  1. Select the organization in which to resend an invitation to a member(s). See Select Organization above.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Members for the organization’s members section.
  3. Find the member to whom you’d like to resend an invite by entering their name in the Find member field.
  4. Click Resend the email invite on the member.
The member will receive an email with the invitation.
Note: There is a mandatory 30-second delay in resending an invitation to a member to prevent spamming.

Update Organization Members

You can update their role:
  1. Select the organization in which to update a member(s). See Select Organization above.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Members for the organization’s members section.
  3. Find the member you’d like to update by entering their name in the Find member field.
  4. Click into the Role field on the member to update.
  5. Select the role from the dropdown, either ‘Member’ or ‘Admin’.
This will automatically update their permissions.

Remove Member from Organization

  1. Select the organization to remove a member(s). See Select Organization above.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Members for the organization’s members section.
  3. Find the member you’d like to remove by entering their name in the Find member field.
  4. For the member to remove, click the trash can icon found next to their role, at the end of the member information row.
  5. You are prompted to confirm removal of the organization member. Click the Remove button on the confirmation message.
The member has been removed from your organization.

Known Limitations

Next Steps
