March 2021 Product Release Notes

Spring is here, the flowers are blooming and so is Docubee. This month, our engineers have been hard at work making product improvements to make your life easier. Continue reading to see what’s new:

New “Generate Document from Form Data” Workflow Task Added
This new feature allows workflow builders to generate documents using data collected in previous steps of the workflow. Here’s an example of how it works:

In this example, properties collected in a web form are merged with the corresponding placeholders for that property in the document. Once completed, these documents can be routed to other workflow tasks for approval and signature.

New “Combine Documents” Workflow Task
Now, workflow builders can use conditional logic to combine documents in their workflow steps. Use this new feature to set up conditional logic to assemble packets of information based off of participants’ responses.

One use case for the new combine documents feature is creating rental contract packets. For example, workflow builders can set a condition that will automatically create and add a pet deposit agreement to a renter’s new rental contract packet if the renter specifies they have a pet while filling out their forms with Docubee. If this condition is met, Docubee will automatically create a packet including both the rental contract and the rental agreement. If the renter does not specify they have a pet, they would simply receive the standard rental contract for fill and sign.

Updated Onboarding for Mobile Users
Mobile users in-trial can now access quickstart templates and the template assistant during onboarding. This new feature makes it easier for those on mobile devices to get started building and customizing their workflows.

Docubee Quickstart Experience Now Supports Existing Users
Our system has been updated so that existing users can now take advantage of pre-built workflows as a starting point for their customizations. Take a look at some of our available workflow templates here.

And, Coming Soon…

Our product engineers are working hard to bring you an exciting new update in the month of April. Our newest feature uses an API call to let you programmatically anchor fields such as signature, initial, text, and date fields to certain text-based anchor strings in your documents. This works similar to a “find and replace” feature, allowing you to automatically place correlating, fillable fields in your documents. Be on the lookout for more info on this exciting launch!
